The carpenters hatchet is from the Muller classic range. The blade is offset to the left and is sharpened on the right side only (ie a chisel grind). The left face is flat allowing for precision trimming of timber (for example when jointing lumber in log homes).  Hand forged in Austria.

Materials

  • Blade: carbon steel, 125mm cutting edge. Chisel ground. Nail claw on head.
  • Handle: 380mm ash.
  • Leather blade cover.
