Hand forged in Sweden since 1697, the Carpenters Axe is from the Hultafors premium axe range. The carpenters axe is used for finer timber shaping than a standard axe and has a reasonably slender blade profile, Scandinavian grind and a straighter blade edge than most axes. The head is notched near the handle to allow a close grip for fine work. The hickory handle is straight.
